Chesney Farm
Here lives and works Jessica Kürten with her team.
The yard is in Hünxe (Rhineland), only a few kilometers from the federal road (Bundesstrasse) 58. The name Chesney Farm is a reference to Jessicas family. At home in Northern-Ireland the father of the amazone bred horses and rode steeplechase. Under the name Jessica Chesney she won her first Nations Cups.
Easter 1998 Jessica and Eckard Kürten moved to the yard, which covers everthing, that is necessary for the professional horse care.
The stable area belongs thereby to the “highlights” and is being admired by all visitors – The stables for Castle Forbes Libertina, Quibell, Myrtille Paulois and Co. are of a huge size. One given fact of the formally agriculturally used yard, which pleased Jessica Kürten at first go.
In the meantime many horse-specific equipements were added:

...the self-controlled treadmill...
... the racecourse build on sand and the horse-walker outside of the stables belong to the standards.
The yard covers 11 hectares and has 2 training arenas. The sand arena has a size of 4500 squaremeters and offers a lot of space for working the horses.
Additionally there is a gras arena from the size of 85 by 85 meters. As a real Irish woman Jessica built a few permanent solid fences.

In the winter Jessica and her team can change over to the 22 by 62 meters indoor riding school, which is close to the stables. Directly besides a coverd horse-walker is located. Generally Jessica and Eckard Kürten paid attention, that their four-legged partners are exposed to have plenty much light and fresh air.
Work is one, relaxation the other one – that does apply to horses on the Chesney Farm too. The surrounding pastures is in a certain extent the leisure area for the sport cracks, but also primarily runout for the young horses and the “senior” – Diamonds Exchange.
The farm also takes care for the self-supply with hay. That means a lot of work has to be done in the spring-time and in the summer.
